At the heart of our Family Law team is Di Jenner, a highly experienced Chartered Legal Executive who brings not only a wealth of legal knowledge but also a unique and inspiring career journey.
A Non-Traditional Path to Law
Di did not follow the traditional university route into law. Instead, she qualified through the CILEX route, a path she champions passionately, particularly for distance learners and those considering alternative ways into the legal profession.
Her legal career began with more than 20 years at the Legal Aid Agency (LAA), where she progressed through various supervisory and auditing roles. After relocating, Di made the bold decision to formally pursue her CILEX qualification, qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2009.
Dedication to Family Law
Since qualifying, Di has focused exclusively on family law, with a special emphasis on private children law. She is dedicated to helping parents navigate complex legal situations and, wherever possible, rebuild their relationships with their children.
“I enjoy being able to help people resolve their difficulties and re-establish a relationship with their children,” says Di. Her compassion, coupled with her practical and straightforward approach, makes her a trusted and reassuring advisor during often challenging times.
One of her most memorable cases involved securing an order for a father who had not seen his child for a significant period. Thanks to Di’s sensitive and skilled representation, the father was able to rebuild a meaningful relationship with his child, a life-changing outcome for both.
Advocacy and Support Through Every Step
Di handles all aspects of private Children Act proceedings, as well as family-related injunctions. Wherever possible, she undertakes her own advocacy, providing consistent support throughout what can often be emotional and high-stakes hearings.
Her calm presence and clear communication help clients feel informed, reassured, and supported from start to finish.

Di has been part of the Nantes Solicitors team since 2023. She speaks highly of the firm’s supportive and approachable management team, and of the shared values around client care and professional growth.

Outside the Office
Outside of her legal work, Di is a proud mum to her son, Harvey, and takes immense joy in celebrating his achievements. She is also a keen traveller and socialiser. A recent highlight was ticking off a long-time bucket list dream with a visit to Pompeii—although her friends still joke about the tumble she took on Mt Vesuvius!
